Our Story and Mission
In 2025 I lost my job working for one of the UK’s fastest growing accounting firms. While struggling to find the right role, I spent my free time finishing the pub I was building in my garden. As someone that has struggled with my mental health for a number of years, this period of unemployment had a rather negative effect which was, thankfully, muted every time I worked on the pub. The positive impact on my mental health, along with the knowledge I gained in the process and the final product inspired me to take the leap onto the next stage of my journey into the world of fine woodworking. Artistic Monkey Furniture was born.
Artistic Monkey Furniture began with a desire to build table tables and learn new skills while doing so. We blend innovative design with expert craftsmanship and attention to detail, fostering a collaborative process with clients to ensure each piece is meaningful, functional, and uniquely theirs.
I continue to grow and develop my skills and ability on a daily basis and am continually pushing the boundary of what is possible. At present, I work out of my garage workspace and when a larger space is required, I have access to a local community maker space.
